Who We Are

 Our mission is to develop and advance soccer excellence through our two leagues that provide entry to the BC Soccer Provincials (A and B Cups). We support and foster the development of youth players through competition that is adjusted to the  players’ level giving them a  chance to develop to their highest potential. Providing playing opportunities in a competitive yet positive environment cultivates growth and higher standards for community and competitive play.

 Upper Island Soccer Association (UISA) is youth sport body responsible for the fostering, promotion and governance in the central and upper island regions. UISA is a member of BC Soccer and Canada Soccer and has a duty to abide by the guidelines set forth by BC Soccer and Canada Soccer and ultimately FIFA.  A thriving nonprofit serving thousands of individuals each year, we are comprised of a board of directors and staff and are based in Nanaimo providing guidance through vision and aspiration  to inspire. 

We have the privilege of working with the nine clubs in the upper island region to provide the best possible support for our athletes.  We are proud to partner with the lower island district organization to provide an inter-district league for our highly competitive athletes.   Our leagues help us extend our reach and impact in the community.  Doing our part as active leaders by encouraging an all-inclusive and positive sports culture.
