Referee Guidelines 2015-2016

To All Game Officials in the Upper Island for the 2016/2017 season

The following is important information that must be followed for all games.
If you have any questions, please contact your club referee scheduler.
All game durations are available on the UISA website   uisa.ca

For All VIPL GAMES

Handshakes for VIPL games will take place prior to the start of the game, teams may cheer at the end but handshakes will not be redone. All teams have been made aware of this procedure.

For all VIPL games, the 3 part VIPL game sheet must be used, filled out completely at the end of the game and handed back to the teams.

The white copy must then be sent to Kevin Cowie – contact information below.

All discipline must be documented online on the BC soccer website.  Select the Referee menu, then click on the Discipline System option.  Log in as directed with your RefCentre username and password, then fill out a report for any discipline that is handed out.  The League Title will be VIPL.

UISA game reports on UISA web site should be filled out only if there is something UISA needs to be made aware of.

ID Cards – As per BC Soccer and VIPL rules, all players, including “permitted” players, and team officials must have ID cards by October 1 of the current season. Non-conforming players or team officials may be subject to sanctions.

DO NOT TAKE ID CARDS FOR ANY SEND OFFS PLEASE

Note on Discipline report if card was or was not taken.

Team Officials – As per BC Soccer rules, each team may only have five (5) officials on their roster AND on the bench for all League and Cup games, and one of them must be the same sex as the players.

FOR ALL UISA LEAGUE GAMES

For All UISA league games, the 3 part UISA game sheet must be used, filled out completely at the end of the game and handed back to the teams.

The white copy must then be sent to Kevin Cowie within 48 hours of your game – contact information below.

Any Yellow or Red cards issued must be filled out on the game sheet and documented online on the BC soccer website.  Select the Referee menu, then click on the Discipline System option.  Log in using your RefCentre username and password, then fill out a report for any discipline that is handed out.  The League Title will be District League.

UISA game reports on UISA web site should be filled out only if there is something UISA needs to be made aware of.

For UISA league games only players and team officials can participate without ID cards but may be subject to sanctions.

For other youth leagues or games played in the Upper Island any discipline must be entered on the BCSA website as well, with the league title District League.
