Coach Development

BC Soccer Coaching Courses and Workshops

BC Soccer runs a selection of courses for coaches of children and youth- the current course selection is available on their site.

Beginning in 2014, all head coaches of teams entered in Provincial A-Cup or B-Cup competition must have Soccer for Life or higher certification.

Beginning in 2016, BC Soccer will expand mandatory coaching certification requirements.  All head coaches of youth teams must have current age-appropriate coaching certification.  In the Upper Island, coach training is organized by the member clubs.  Please contact your home club for information on local coach certification opportunities.
